The Cross

Today's Reflection,

                                                                The cross

The cross, is the symbol of humility, selflessness, perseverance, resilience and Focus on the

mission. Standing firm in faith and not compromising.

As Christians our mission is to rescue the perishing and care for the dying, just as Jesus did. He

carried the cross of sin, shame and suffering, that we might live. He showed us how to do it, by healing

the sick and bringing them back into the society. That they would live with us. The mission will have it's

own challenges, but we as Christians need to press forward with the amour of God. Reminding yourself

that we all have received salvation through Jesus Christ. It is only through obedience can his promises

be fulfilled. Obeying what he asked us to do, to love, to forgive and to give. He did not ask to be self-

indulgent as in my money, my house, my family, my problems. Instead he asked us to help the poor,

pray for the sick, pray for the strongholds to be broken, help those who cannot speak for themselves,

stand up for justice etc. Our focus should be on spiritual things and on helping our neighbors.

Moreover, Jesus carried the cross of shame and suffering that we might be freed from the curse of sin.

He bore the cross selflessly for us, so that we might be set free from the pain, and that our worldly

need may be met. He knows that we have bodily needs. We need to ask him and wait on him; In his

time he will make all things beautiful. Cast your burdens upon him and carry on with the main

task God has given to you. This is where we waist a lot of our time, when troubles comes, we chock

in our misery.

We need to remember, that God has made a provision for us through Jesus.

The name of Jesus alone, has the power to deliver us, because he alone  paved the way the for us. He

alone died on the cross and shed His blood for us, once for all. So that no more innocent blood

would be wasted because of our selfishness and our self-indulgence. God is more interested in filling

our hearts 'with joy and reminding us that we need not suffer. We need not sin to escape suffering.

Jesus has already put an end to our suffering, by dying on the cross, you just have to claim it in Jesus

name, by simply obeying his word. Remember that it is through the cross that you have recieved your

forgiveness; repent and receive your forgiveness. Love God and Love your neighbors and always

 Remember the cross.

John 16:33

These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have

tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world. ( JESUS, BIBLE)
